Azerbaijani non-oil sector ensures 57 percent of tax revenues in first quarter

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes has transferred 1.39 billion manat of tax payments to the state budget in January-March 2012, the ministry said on Wednesday.
"The earnings on profit tax amounted to 35 percent of a total volume of tax revenues, value added tax - 25.6 percent, income tax - 12.7 percent, excise tax - 7.9 percent, other taxes - 18.8 percent," the message said.

The non-oil sector has ensured transferring 791.7 million manat to the state budget, which exceeds the figure by 16.4 percent for the same period of last year.

About 18,994 taxpayers passed state registration in the first quarter. The number of physical entities registered in an electronic form from April 1, 2011 to April 1, 2012 amounted to 21,478 persons. The total number of taxpayers was 436,737 people as of April 1.

The share of tax declarations submitted in electronic form, was 92.5 percent in January-March.

The official exchange rate is 0,7860 AZN/USD on April 11.
