During 2009-11, 88 Azerbaijani managers were sent to Germany for training courses, the director of the Baku educational Business Center, Akif Farrukhov, told reporters on Thursday.

He said, in particularly in 2011 52 managers could participate in the training.

Since 2009, under the programme of training staff for business management in the private sector young managers of Azerbaijani companies have the opportunity to participate in training in Germany.

"These entrepreneurs are engaged in various economic sectors, including agriculture. In general, these trainings are aimed at establishing international contacts and learning about innovations," Farrukhov said.

During the training Azerbaijan's managers have the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of managers of German companies operating in Bonn and Berlin. Azerbaijan is one of 13 countries with which Germany is implementing the training program for business management in the private sector.

The term of training is one month. Certificates are issued in the end.

"This program is constantly evolving, and the possibility of organizing training courses, along with English, also in Russian is currently being discussed," said the head of the center.

Trainings are conducted with the support of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology Germany and the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan. German company InWent organizes the training courses.
