Italy remains the largest importer of goods from Azerbaijan. More than 20 percent of Azerbaijani exports and 15.8 percent of the total turnover of the country fell to this country in January-March, the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee said today.

Azerbaijan mainly imported from Turkey in January-March. About 15.09 percent of the Azerbaijani imports and 3.93 percent of total trade turnover of the country fell to this country in Jan.-March.

About 47.9 percent of Azerbaijan's exports and 27.56 percent of imports fell to the EU countries, while 4.11 and 25.8 percent respectively - to the CIS countries.
The total volume of trade turnover of the country amounted to $7.895 billion, exceeding the figure by 7.6 percent for the same period of last year.
There is a black ink in the foreign trade operations to the amount of $3.79 billion.
