Azerbaijani Agriculture minister Ismet Abasov met on Tuesday with a delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Water-Management and Forestry of Bosnia and Herzegovina Jerko Ivankovic-Lijanovic, the ministry told Trend.

The sides discussed at the meeting cooperation between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the agrarian sector.

Abbasov said there are favorable soil and climatic conditions Azerbaijan, high export potential and favorable conditions for foreign investment.

The Minister, taking into account the interest of local entrepreneurs to investing in agriculture and the purchase of new technology, offered to develop cooperation between the research institutes of agricultural orientation; share the results of studies in the field of livestock and poultry; to apply modern technology in production, processing and storage of crop; to organize activities of leading leasing companies and banks of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the leasing market in Azerbaijan and invest in the agricultural sector; to exchange information on agricultural research innovations, organize workshops, seminars, exhibitions and fairs on various areas of agriculture.

Ivankovic-Lijanovic thanked for the warm welcome and said that he would make efforts to ensure bilateral cooperation with Azerbaijan in the agricultural sector.
