Turkish exports to Libya grow by 50 percent

Turkey's exports in April decreased by 2.9 percent, compared to the same period in 2011, amounting to $ 11.4 billion, a report of Turkish Exporters Assembly said on Tuesday.

Turkey's exports for the year grew by 13.6 percent, amounting to $ 138.3 billion.

The largest volume of exports in April fell to the sector of the automotive industry - $ 1.6 billion, production of chemicals - $ 1.4 billion, the steel industry - $ 1.3 billion.

During the reporting period, most of the products were exported to Libya. Exports to this country in April increased by 50 percent. The rest of exports fall to countries of Africa - 43 percent and the Middle East - 17 percent.
