About 23 memorandums were signed in Astana after the Innovation Congress today. The expected economic effect from the signed agreements is more than $100 million, the Kazakh Information and New Technologies Ministry said today.

So, for example, the memorandum between Kazakhtelecom and Transkosmos America Incorporation envisages joint work on innovative IT services.

The memorandum between Kazakhstan Temir Joly, Transmashdizel company and General Electric assumes to implement the parties' intentions to establish the joint venture in Astana's industrial zone for the diesel locomotive engine production.

A memorandum on the joint project was signed during the congress to build a plant in Belarus for silicon production using technological solutions at the National Scientific and Technological Holding Parasat.

The congress on innovative business was held in Astana on May 23-24.

The organizers were the National Agency for Technological Development and the Industry and New Technologies Ministry.
