The average rate on deposits in manats as of April 1 was 10.24 percent compared to 10.21 percent as of March 1 and 11.08 percent - as of April 1, 2011, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) said on Wednesday.
The average rate on deposits in foreign currency amounted to 10.92 percent compared to 11.04 percent and 11.09 percent respectively.
As of April 1 the average rate on deposits of individuals in manat was 10.7 percent, as of March 1 - 10.65 percent, as of April 1, 2011 - 11.73 percent. The average rate on individuals' deposits in foreign currency was 11.1 percent compared to 11.2 percent and 11.49 percent respectively.
As of early April, the average rate on deposits of legal entities in manat was 6.17 percent compared to 6.24 percent as of March 1, 2012 and 6.12 percent - as of April 1, 2011. The average rate on deposits of corporate customers in foreign currency was 6.13 percent compared to 6.99 percent and 6.28 percent respectively.
