A memorandum on mutual cooperation was signed between the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) and Andorra's Confederation of Entrepreneurs in Baku today.
The memorandum was signed by Andorran Business Confederation vice-president Xavier Altimir and AZPROMO Vice-President Gulshan Rzayeva.
The signing ceremony took place during a meeting of business people of both countries. This is the first visit of Andorra's business delegation to Azerbaijan. The delegation is headed by Andorra's Foreign Minister Gilbert Saboya Sunyé.
Andorra's delegation includes about 30 representatives of business circles, operating in the fields of transport, logistics, tourism, banking, engineering, waste management and other industries.
According to the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee, as of late 2011, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Andorra was about $240 million. This figure fell by almost five-fold compared to 2010.
