National water operator Azersu has created educational training center in order to improve human resource capacity, president of "Azersu" Korkmaz Huseynov said on Wednesday during the meeting with the Honorary Consul of Azerbaijan in Germany Otto Hauser.
"We also plan to send young professionals to foreign countries, including Turkey and Germany to enhance human capacity," Huseynov said.
He noted that projects for the reconstruction of water supply and sanitation in the cities of Ganja and Sheki financed by the loan from the German Development Bank (KfW) currently are being implemented, and that the equipment of German companies is used in these and other projects.
"Taking all of this into account, the training of Azerbaijani specialists in Germany would be very useful," Huseynov said.
Hauser, in turn noted that in September-October, the first group of 10 Azerbaijani specialists will be trained in the German city of Stuttgart in the company of "RBC Wave Gmbh", which has more than 50 years of experience in the field of water supply and sewerage services.
"Azerbaijani specialists will be trained in the handling and operation, using the most advanced technologies," Hauser said.
He noted that during the next phase German experts will arrive in Baku for holding training, where the experience of the first group of specialists will be demonstrated. He also noted his readiness to render comprehensive assistance to Azerbaijan in the study of the German experience in the field of water supply and sanitation.
