'Azersu', the national water operator has announced an open tender to restore the water supply and sewerage system in the towns of Yevlakh, Barda and Naftalan, 'Azersu' said today.
According to the project 'Restoration of water supply and sewerage system in small towns', it is planned to construct a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 14,456 cubic meters per day. It is also planned to construct a treatment facility in Naftalan with a capacity of 10,854 cubic meters and Barda with a capacity of 10,854 cubic meters per day.
The fee for participating in the tender is 150 manat or $200.
The documents must be submitted to 'Azersu' up till August 24, 2012 to participate in the tender. Address: 67, Moscow Avenue, Baku.
The 'Water supply and sewerage system in small towns' project is financed by the Azerbaijani government and the Japan International Cooperation Agency, envisages the reconstruction of the water supply and sewerage system in 10 towns and regions in Azerbaijan (Salyan, Shirvan, Neftchala, Barda, Khachmaz, Yevlakh, Naftalan, Khizi, Gusar and Gobustan).
According to a credit agreement signed on May 29, 2009, the Japanese side will allocate 38 billion yen ($400 million) to fulfil these operations.
The official exchange rate is 0.7856 AZN/USD on July 10.
