So far this year, Iran has produced almost 23.5 billion cubic meters of gas.
Since the start of the Iranian year on March 20, the fields operating under the auspices of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (IOFC) have sent 23.454 billion cubic meters of gas to the country's refineries, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reports.
That production level, said Mehdi Fakour the IOFC's managing director, is 308 million cubic meters (mcm) than the company's assigned production level.
The IOFC is one of the National Iranian Oil Company's (NIOC) five major production companies and is responsible for extracting oil and gas from 46 gas fields and 27 oil fields. Currently, the company is working in 10 oil of the fields and 14 gas of the gas fields with the remaining fields scheduled to go into production in the future.
