Kazakhstan will subsidize up to 30 percent of exporters' transportation costs, Deputy Chairman of Kazakh National Agency for Export and Investment "Kaznex Invest" Meyerzhan Maykenov told Kazakh Prime Minister' website.

"We are developing a mechanism of compensating the exporters' 30 percent transportation costs within the Exporter-2020 program," Maykenov said.

Maykenov added that a decision on reimbursement for transportation expenses followed from exporting companies' activity analysis. This analysis revealed that product attractiveness depends on pricing, which includes transportation costs.

"Kazakh exporters face high transportation costs very often now. We analyzed this situation and revealed that Kazakh goods are not always competitive at the foreign markets due to its price resulted from transportation costs," Maykenov said.

Maykenov said that reimbursement for transportation expenses will allow Kazakh exporters to increase export by 30-50 percent and give an impetus to export-oriented enterprises of Kazakhstan.
