Iran exported over 6 billion worth of industrial goods in the first five months of current Iranian calendar year (ended August 20), Deputy Mine, Trade and Industry Minister said on the sidelines of the 12th International Industry Expo.
ILNA News Agency quoted Masoud Movahedi as saying that the mentioned amount accounts for 36 percent of the nation's total exports.
Iran also exported $1.095 billion worth of technical and engineering services during the mentioned period.
During the five-month period, $12.6 billion worth of goods (excluding gas condensates) were exported to China, UAE, Iraq, India, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, and South Korea.
According to Movahedi Iran exported $4.1 billion worth of technical and engineering services in the previous calendar year (ended March 20).
The 12th International Industry Expo was opened at Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds on October 5.
Over 408 Iranian and 118 foreign companies from different countries such as Germany, Belgium, Austria, Turkey and China have participated in the three-day exhibition.
