The winner of the tender has been announced for the demolition of unfit buildings and structures on the 167.66 hectare site in Sumgait which was previously the Sumgait chemical industrial park belonging to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development.
This was stated in a report published in the official press on Friday.
According to the decision of the tender commission, Elegant Co. was declared the winner of the tender on October 30. The contract with the company was signed on October 31.
A presidential decree on the establishment of Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park was released in December last year. According to the decree, in order to increase the capacity of the chemical industry, to establish private enterprises in the area and get competitive products from local raw materials, the Ministry of Economic Development is entrusted to implement measures that support the creation and development of production and processing sites relevant to chemical industry.
