Kazakhstan's National Welfare Fund (NWF) Samruk-Kazyna is expecting 686 707 billion tenge ($4.57 billion) of net profit in 2012, the managing director and Samruk-Kazyna board member Nurlan Rakhmetov told journalists on Tuesday.
The net profit for 2012 is estimated at 686 707 billion tenge, Rakhmetov said.
According to him, since the beginning of the year, Samruk Kazyna has earned more than 680 billion tenge.
According to NWF, in 2008 the net profit amounted to 367.7 billion tenge, in 2009 - 303.6 billion tenge, in 2010 - 525.5 billion tenge and in 2011 - 629.9 billion tenge.
According to estimations, in 2012 the coefficient in the EBITDA margin (operating profitability, i.e. the ratio of operating income before deduction of expense on interest, taxes and amortisation of sales) was 18.2 per cent.
In 2008 the ratio was 24.5 per cent, in 2009 - 25.8 per cent, in 2010 - 23.5 per cent and 2011 - 17.8 per cent.
According to estimations, ROACE net income (return on capital employed, i.e., the ratio of operating profit after tax to average capital employed) in 2012 will amount to 9.5 per cent.
According to the fund in 2008, the figure was 9.3 per cent, in 2009 - 6.4 per cent, in 2010 - 7.8 per cent and in 2011 - 8.9 per cent.
All these figures are consolidated in the fund excluding banks that do not belong to the fund's group.
