The pharmaceutical sector is one of the potential areas of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Hungary, General Secretary of the Office of the Prime Minister of Hungary and co-chair of the Azerbaijani-Hungarian Intergovernmental Economic Commission, Peter Siyarto said in Baku during Azerbaijani-Hungarian business forum.
"As we agreed at the bilateral meeting with the Minister of Economic Development, Shahin Mustafayev, the Minister will meet with representatives of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Hungary in early 2013, and a joint business forum on Investing in Health will be held in the first quarter of 2013," Siyarto said.
He noted that cooperation should also be encouraged in agriculture, construction, assembly, vehicles, and water and air transport.
"Hungary is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijani companies in regards to the implementation of projects for road, railway and bridge construction", Siyarto added.
In addition, Azerbaijan and Hungary have agreed to launch exchange programs, Siyarto noted.
"We are impressed by Azerbaijan's achievements in the economic sphere over the last 2.5 years," Siyarto said.
Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev in turn said that Azerbaijani entrepreneurs who have serious plans to develop cooperation with Hungarian companies participated in these bilateral meetings of business people.
