Investor ready to contribute $ 20 million to container facility development at Batumi port in 2013

The head of the government of Adjara, Archil Habadze met with the vice president of the company that manages the container terminal at Batumi's Hans Ole Madsen Port. The meeting was held behind closed doors.

According to the press service of Adjara government, because of the rapid growth rates of goods turnover in recent years, the Batumi terminal is now the third largest terminal on the Black Sea.

The company has been operating the terminal since 2007. The expansion of the terminal and the arrangement of its external infrastructure are planned.

According to the company's Vice-President Madsen, over the course of five years, some $ 30 million were invested in the development of container facilities. Investments exceeding $ 20 million will be planned next year.
