Transport corridor between Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey within construction of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line will acquire international significance in future, Azerbaijani Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov said at the ceremony, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Azerbaijani-Georgian relations, held in Baku on Tuesday.

He said Azerbaijan and Georgia are connected by major infrastructure projects such as the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, the South Caucasus gas pipeline, as well as the project of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars, implementation of which is underway.

Ziya Mammadov noted the high level of good neighborly relations between the two countries and great opportunities for their further development.

Mammadov said that during 11 months of 2012 the trade turnover between the two countries reached $ 450 million, and it will grow in the following years.
