The Senate (upper house), of the Kazakh Parliament adopted a law 'On ratification of the Protocol between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on making amendments and additions to the Protocol on transferring property located in the Kemer District of Antalya Province to the ownership of the Republic of Kazakhstan', at the plenary session on Thursday, the Senate of Kazakhstan reported. The protocol is dated Dec.13, 1993.
'The law has been sent for signing by the head of state', the report says.
This document signed in Ankara on April 16, 2012, includes provisions relating to the transfer of forest land with a total area of 67,256 square metres located in the Beldibi village of the district of Kemer in the Turkish Antalya province to the ownership of Kazakhstan.
Part of the land with an area of 22, 302 square metres transferred to the ownership of the Kazakh side will only be used for recreational and health-improving purposes. Another part of the land with an area of 44,954 square metres was used until Dec.31, 2010, without payment and as from Jan.1, 2011 for travel purposes.
Kazakhstan, in turn is providing Turkey with two land plots: the first with an area of 7000 square metres in Aktau and second a land plot with an area of 1500-2000 square metres in Almaty for 49 years.
