Turkey's industrial production index (IPI) decreased by 3.8 percent in December 2012 and hit 105 points compared to the same month in 2011, the Turkish Statistics Institute said in a report posted on its website on Friday.
In December, the IPI increased by 0.8 percent compared to the previous month.
In December, the Turkish IPI increased in mining by 10.4 percent, while in processing, it decreased by 3.6 per cent. In production and distribution it fell by 2.9 percent.
The highest rate of the index was observed in the energy sector. In December, it increased by 11.2 percent compared to the same period of 2011.
