"Azerbaijan Railways" will get another batch of carriages in late March - early April that were previously transported to Ukraine for overhaul, spokesman for the company Nadir Azmammadov told Trend on Wednesday.
The company has received 15 of 50 carriages transported for repair.
He added that the process of obtaining carriages will be fully completed in May this year.
"We will receive a batch of 10 carriages in late March - early April," he said. "The rest carriages must be delivered to the capital by the end of May."
The carriages were transported to Ukraine for repair due to the lack of passenger carriage overhaul technologies in Azerbaijan.
Deputy Head of the company Gurban Nazirov previously said that "Azerbaijan Railways" plans to buy 100 new passenger carriages within rolling stock renovation. It is planned to purchase 50 locomotives for cargo transportation and 12 locomotives for passenger transportation.
