Freight traffic prices increased in Azerbaijan

Freight traffic prices in Azerbaijan's transport sector in February 2013 increased by one per cent compared to January, according to an announcement published on the website of the State Statistics Committee on Monday.

According to the Committee, prices of passenger traffic in February reduced by 1.2 per cent.

The average price of transportation of 10 tons of freight imported to the country reduced by 0.5 per cent.

On the other hand prices of freight transportation within the country and freight exported out of the country and transit freight increased by 11.7 per cent, 33.3 per cent and 1.8 per cent, respectively.

Passenger traffic tariffs in the CIS reduced by 5.8 per cent.

Prices of oil transportation by pipelines increased by 1.1 per cent compared to January.

Prices of freight and passenger transportation by air reduced in the CIS countries by 2.3 and 1.3 per cent, respectively. Prices of passenger traffic out of the CIS reduced by 9.3 per cent.
