Iran exported over 10.4 million tons of cement worth 822.5 million dollars in the first eleven months of the previous Iranian year, which ended March 20, ILNA reported.
In comparison to the same period of time its preceding year, the figures showed 27.6 and 35.6 per cent increase in terms of wight and value respectively.
Iran exported cement to 24 countries including Iraq, Azerbaijan, turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Russia, Kazakhstran, Kuwait, Pakistan, Qatar, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Georgia, Oman, India, and China in the past Iranian year.
Iran produced 64.10 million tons of cement in the first eleven months of previous year.
The amount showed 5.7 percent increase compared to the same time span its preceding year.
Output hit 5.47 million tons in the eleventh month of the previous calendar year (January 20 - February 18).
Iran with total production of 65 million tons ranked as the world's third largest cement producer in 2012.
Iran's cement production accounted for 1.7 percent of world's total output.
Abdolreza Sheykhan, an official with Iran's Cement Producers Association, said in February that the country plans to increase its cement output up to 85 million tons by the end of the current Iranian Calendar year (March 19, 2014).
Sheykhan also expressed hope that Iran's cement exports reach 18-20 million tons in the current calendar ear.
Industry, Mine and Trade Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari said in August, 2012 that the country's cement production capacity will reach 110 million tons by 2015.
Iran has produced 69,457,000 tons of cement in a 12-month period to end February 10. The amount shows 6.7 percent increase compared to the same time span previous year.
