Judicial Department to request information on debtors’ accounts

Uzbekistan brought into effect a resolution of the Ministry of Justice and the Executive Board of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan on the use of the database of the National Bank’s depositors while searching for debtors’ bank accounts.

Uzbekistan brought into effect a resolution of the Ministry of Justice and the Executive Board of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan on the use of the database of the National Bank's depositors while searching for debtors' bank accounts.

According to the document, the Department for Execution of Court Decisions and Logistical, Financial Support of the Courts (Judicial Department) received the right to send electronic or written requests to the Main Information Centre of the Central Bank on a claim to a debtor's property or its sequestration seizure of his property.

A request can be submitted only on the basis of a valid judicial decision.

The centre shall provide information on the requested debtor's bank accounts to the Judicial Department no later than the day following the request receipt day.

The document establishes that the order of mutual settlements related to electronic data exchange is determined in accordance with the agreement between the centre and the Judicial Department.
