Turkmenistan receives batch of agricultural equipment from Germany

Turkmenistan received the last batch of tractor-cultivators of AXION-850 brand, as well as ploughs of EurOpal 9 5 No.100 brand and their spare parts from CLAAS Global Sales GmbH company from Germany, Turkmen State Association Turkmenobakhyzmat (Turkmen Agricultural Service) said.

According to the report, supply of 500 units of special equipment, which is distributed across all five regions of the country, began in August 2012. "The new tractors are equipped with systems varying the engine power from 225 to 260 horsepower, depending on the load, allowing the most efficient fuel consumption, as well as rationally explosion of the technique," the report says.

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov received heads of the Germancompany CLAAS Global Sales GmbH in Ashgabat in November 2012. The meeting was attended by the company's President for sales in CIS countries Diter Duringer and Regional Director for Central Asia and Caucasus Sergey Potemin. Businessmen emphasized the interest of the company in strengthening its position in the local market, "where the conditions for a successful business, including political stability, well thought-investment policies with a substantial financial, tax and customs privileges are created.

CLAAS is one of world leaders in the field of agricultural production. The company was established in 1913. It produces a wide range of machines. The company has been actively operating in Turkmenistan since 2007 and is currently supplying balers along with tractors and combines. CLASS supplied 270 combine harvesters to Turkmen market last year. Service centres are already operating in country regions. According to local specialists this technique is designed for local soil and climatic conditions. Combines designed for harvesting wheat as well as rice with optimised construction and mechanisms are among this delivery.
