Iran's non-oil goods are currently exported to more than 150 countries, Iranian Deputy Industry Minister Alireza Shojaei said on Saturday, IRNA agency reported.

Over 3,300 non-oil items are being exported, he said.

He predicted that non-oil exports would surpass $50 billion in the current Iranian calendar year, which began on March 21.

Last year, international sanctions reduced the exports of gas condensate and petrochemical products by 12 percent and 33 percent, respectively, he noted.

Meanwhile, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran Kioumars Fathollah Kermanshahi said in February that Iran's non-oil exports will reach $ 59 billion dollars in the current Iranian calendar year.

Iran needs to boost its non-oil exports in order to supply itself with foreign currencies needed for importing goods, Kermanshahi said.
