Loan interest rates in Azerbaijani manats rapidly decrease

Compared to 2012 data, loans being issued in Azerbaijan in domestic and foreign currency on May 1, 2013 were being done so at lower interest rates, according to today's statistical report from the Azerbaijani Central Bank said.

The average interest rate on a loan in Azerbaijani manats was 13.90 percent compared to 16.05 percent on May 1, 2012. The average interest rate for loans in convertible currency was 14.87 percent compared to 16.05 percent on May 1, 2012.

On May 1, 2013, the average interest rate of loans in Azerbaijani manats to legal entities was 11.89 percent compared to 14.36 percent on May 1, 2012.

The average interest rate on loans to corporations in freely convertible currency was 12.39 percent compared to 13.56 percent on May 1, 2012

On May 1, 2013, the average interest rate on Azerbaijani manats bank loans to physical entities was 17.07 percent compared to 18.57 percent on May 1, 2012.

The average interest rate for individual loans issued in freely convertible currency was 21.63 percent compared to 21.98 percent on May 1, 2012.
