Azerbaijan imported 2,356 trucks in January-May 2013, which is 11.4 percent less than in January-May 2012, Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee told Trend on Friday.
According to the Committee, the total value of trucks imported into the country during the reporting period was $29.88 million, or 51.4 percent less than in January-May 2012.
Azerbaijan imported 9,432 trucks last year, or 52.7 percent more than the figure of 2011. The total cost of imported trucks amounted to more than $213.4 million, which is 45.6 percent more than the figure of 2011.
The country imported 335 buses in January-May 2013, which is 5.9 percent less than in January-May 2012. The total value of imported buses amounted to $15.5 million, or 20.4 percent less than the same period of last year.
In 2012, the country imported 1,038 buses, or 58.5 percent more than in 2011. The total value of imported buses amounted to $49.88 million, which is 88.1 percent more than in 2011.
