The foreign companies are dealing with construction to the amount of $ 28 billion in Turkmenistan, the Turkmen government said today.
"Around 1,865 facilities are being constructed and investments exceeding $ 41 billion are being mastered," the statement said. "Around $13 billion of the total investments volume is being mastered by local construction companies."
At present, North-South transcontinental railroad is being constructed in Turkmenistan. The new oil and gas fields are being developed and gas pipelines are being built.
The work is underway to reform of the education system and upgrade the production sector within the programs adopted in Turkmenistan.
The market economy is being formed.
The official exchange rate is 2.85 Turkmen manat / $ 1 on July 15.
