Turkey's budget revenues from taxes increased by 20.7 percent amounting to 190.9 billion lira in January-June 2013 compared to the same period of 2012, the Turkish Finance Ministry said today.
The greatest amount of revenue was derived from a special tax on consumption - 40 billion lira, value added tax - 30.9 billion lira and income tax - 29.6 billion lira.
Turkey's budget expenditures for the period amounted to 187.8 billion lira. The largest expenditure was directed to current transfers - 75 billion lira.
The official exchange rate is 1,9573 TRY/USD on July 15.
