Vice-president: French Alstom Transport ready to meet demand of Azerbaijani railways

French company Alstom Transport is ready to meet the demands of Azerbaijani Railways CJSC, Senior vice-president of Alstom Transport in Russia and CIS, Thibault Desterakt told Trend during the sixth International Rail Salon of Engineering and Technologies conference held in Moscow.

French company Alstom Transport is ready to meet the demands of Azerbaijani Railways CJSC, Senior vice-president of Alstom Transport in Russia and CIS, Thibault Desterakt told Trend during the sixth International Rail Salon of Engineering and Technologies conference held in Moscow.

"We have permanent contacts with the CJSC and great plans for Azerbaijan concerning locomotives," he said.

According to him, Azerbaijan is one of the priority countries for cooperating in the CIS market.

"Currently we work on proposals for a city transport project in Ganja," Desterakt said.

According to him, Azerbaijan is an economically developed country with its own demands and the company works on what it can offer this country.

Senior vice-president of Alstom Transport in Russia and CIS noted that he plans to visit Azerbaijan until the end of September and solve all issues concerning not only the railway, but city transport.

The Alstom Transport Company develops and markets a complete range of systems, equipment and services in the rail industry. Alstom Transport controls the entire transport system, including rolling stock, signalling and infrastructure, as well as offering turnkey solutions.
