Kazakhstan decreased its iron ore production by 0.8 per cent in January-September 2013 compared to the same period of 2012 to 38.312 million tons, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with the reference to the Kazakh Statistics Agency.
Extraction of copper ore reached 31.350 million tons, copper-zinc ore - 3.827 million tons and lead-zinc - 5.4 million tons in this period.
Kazakhstan's crude steel production fell by 18 per cent in the reporting period to 2.497 million tons.
Ferroalloys production in the reporting period hit 1.260 million tons (1.5 per cent decrease), flat section - 1.636 million tons (19 per cent decrease) and galvanized steel - 381,300 tons (4.7 per cent decrease). Tin and tinned steel sheet production decreased by 43.5 per cent to 72,800 tons.
