Azerbaijan is keeping inflation under control, the head of the IMF mission to Azerbaijan Raja Almarzogi said at a press conference in Baku on Nov.15.
According to the mission head, the IMF anticipates that the inflation in Azerbaijan will be lower than three percent by the end of 2013 and three percent in 2014.
"We came to a conclusion that economic growth in Azerbaijan is at a normal level. The average annual economic growth in 2013 and next years is anticipated at the level of five percent," Almarzogi said.
The IMF mission is in Baku since Nov.8. The mission is on the way of completing its work. The IMF representatives have held meetings with Azerbaijani officials and entrepreneurs. The next visit of the IMF mission to Azerbaijan is expected for March 2014.
