Kazakhstan’s vehicle plant Azia Avto increased production from 16,500 cars in 2012 to 30,000 cars in 2013

By Elena Kosolapova- Trend: Kazakhstan's vehicle plant Azia Avto increased production from 16,500 cars in 2012 to 30,000 cars in 2013, Development Bank of Kazakhstan reported

The plant plans to increase car production to 40,000 and complete production facilities modernization in 2014.

The plant's capacity will increase to 60,000 cars per year following the modernization.

Azia Avto acquired 15 units of special equipment Volvo, a shunting locomotive, and upgraded test equipment at a cost of 847 million tenge (154.12 tenhe = $1) in 2013. All these purchases and works were funded by DBK-Leasing, a subsidiary of Development Bank of Kazakhstan

Azia Avto car plant located in Kazakh city of Ust-Kamenogorsk was founded in 2002 and it is the largest car producer in Kazakhstan. Such world leading corporations as Volkswagen Group, General Motors, Renault-Nissan-AvtoVAZ and KIA Motors are among the factory's partners.
