Around $13,181 million was transferred from Azerbaijan to Georgia in Jan.-Nov. 2013 which accounts for about 1 percent of the total volume of money transferred to the country during the reporting period, Georgian National Bank told Trend on Jan.7.
The volume of electronic money transfers in this direction increased by 26.87 percent in less than one year, the National Bank said. By comparison, some $10,389 million worth funds were transferred from Azerbaijan to Georgia throughout 2012.
In total, some $1,323 billion was transferred to Georgia in Jan.-Nov. 2013. Over a half of this sum fell to Russia; the volume of transfers from this country was equal to $719,204 million.
