The Kazakh Food Contract Corporation has delivered the first batch of new grain crop to China, the company said today.

"The Kazakh side must export 10,000 tons of wheat in December 2013 according to the agreement with China's largest grain trader," the company said. "Afterwards, it is planned to hold further talks about an increase in the contract volumes."
The leaders of the two countries reached an agreement on the flour and grain supplies to China.

It was previously reported that the issues of the trade and economic cooperation, including flour and grain supplies to China were discussed at the meetings of the Kazakh and Chinese presidents in April and September 2013.

The national Food Corporation intends to export wheat to Iran, Russia and Azerbaijan in the near future, according to an export plan. About 200,000 tons of grain will be shipped abroad by late 2014.
