Iran's Khazar Shipping Line has carried 1.5 million tons of goods in the first months of the current Iranian calendar year, which began on March 21, 2013, IRIB quoted the shipping line's managing director Ali-Akbar Ghanji as saying on January 11.

The goods were carried on 22 ships from Iran's Anzali, Astara, Noshahr, Fereidoonkenar, and Amirabad ports to Baku, Turkmenbashi, Makhachkala, Aktau, and Astrakhan ports, and vice versa, he added.

The shipping line exported 700,000 tons of goods and imported 800,000 tons of goods during the nine-month period.

The exported goods included cement, clinker, plaster, tiles, stones, glass, building materials, machinery, and foodstuff, while the imported goods included grains, coke, ironware, and paper.

He also said that the shipping line has been admitted to Iran's over-the-country exchange.
