By Elena Kosolapova - Trend: Kazakhstan increased steel production by 36.6 percent to 593,700 tones in January-February 2014 compared to the same period of 2013, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with the reference to Kazakh Statistics Agency.
The country increased ferroalloys production by 6.8 percent to 275,700 tones, flat rolled steel production - by 25.4 percent to 370,500 tones and galvanized steel production - by 10.9 percent to 77,200 tones in the reporting period.
Kazakhstan's tin and tinned steel sheet production fell by 52.9 percent to 9,000 tones in January-February 2014.
