Prices for consumer goods and tariffs for services in Azerbaijan rose by 0.4 percent in February, 2014 compared to the previous month, and 2.1 percent in January-February compared to the same period last year, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee reported.
The food prices rose by 0.8 percent in February in Azerbaijan, while non-food prices remained unchanged, according to the report. Tariffs for paid services rendered to the population, have not changed as well.
The food prices in the reporting period of the year rose by 2.4 percent, non-food products by 3.5 percent, and tariffs for services increased by 0.2 percent compared to January-February 2012.
The basic CPI in February, set with the deduction of goods and services subject to seasonal changes (fruits and vegetables), the prices which regulated by the state, increased by 0.2 percent compared to the previous month, and for two months compared to January-February last year by 1.5 percent.
