The number of deals on real estate in Georgia increased in January-March 2014 by 17 percent to 118,910 compared to the same period of last year, according to Georgian National Agency of Public Registry.
Some 20,603 deals out of this amount accounted for the primary real estate market and 98,307 deals accounted for the secondary real estate market.
Some 17.3 percent out of the total number of real estate deals in Georgia in the first quarter of 2014 accounted for transactions in the primary market, and 82.7 percent in the secondary market.
Last year these figures were 18.7 percent and 81.3 percent respectively.
The national agency said the number of real estate deals in Georgia's primary market increased by 8.5 percent in January-March 2014 compared to the same period of last year.
At the same time the number of real estate deals in Georgia's secondary real estate market increased by 19 percent compared to the stats for the previous year.
