Shipments at Iran's northern Mazandaran port have increased since the beginning of the current year (March 21), compared to the past year.
Manouchehr Tatina said on April 8 that the volume of goods loaded and unloaded at Noshahr and Fereidoonkenar ports, neighboring the Caspian Sea, rose by 89 percent year on year, pmo.ir website reported.
Tatina, the director of Mazandaran ports and maritime organization, added that the number of ships which berthed at the two ports rose by 100 percent.
Some one million tons of goods were shipped from the two ports last year, mainly to the CIS countries, he said.
