KAMAZ to provide Turkmenistan with large batch of vehicles

Director General of KAMAZ, Sergey Kogoghin and a delegation visited Ashgabat. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov here, the company said on April 30.

"An agreement on supplying a large batch of KAMAZ cars was made during the negotiations," according to a statement.

KAMAZ vehicles have been observed on the Turkmen market for a long time. There are 8,850 KAMAZ cars in the country's fleet of motor vehicles.

A representative office of the subsidiary "Foreign Trade Company KAMAZ Hubor Services LLP" is operating in Turkmenistan. It is a dealer for selling cars and parts.

The various ministries and departments, including the Turkmen Defense Ministry and Interior Ministry, the Border Service are among the main consumers of KAMAZ vehicles, according to the report.

Russian KAMAZ vehicles are used in the Turkmen oil and gas industry, foreign companies involved in the oil and gas exploration and production and construction.
