Non-cash money increases by more than 28% in Azerbaijan per year

As of January-March 2014, money supply (M2) (cash in circulation (outside banks) and remainders in the domestic currency on accounts of non-financial organizations, financial (excluding credit) organizations and physical entities) increased by 16.86 percent compared to January-March 2013.

According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), as of March 2014, the rate of M2 was 16.132.3 billion manats compared to 13.804.9 billion manats in January-March 2013.

The amount of cash money supply (M0) increased by 10.6 percent per year and amounted to 9.953.6 billion manats compared to 8.999.2 billion manats in early April 2013.

This index reduced by 4.8 percent for three months.

During the quarter, the non-cash money supply increased by 3.4 percent or in annual terms by 28.6 percent.

As of January-March 2014, Broad Money Supply (M3) totaled 19.377 billion manats or 14.9 percent more compared to January-March 2013 (16.863.7 billion manats).

The transaction money (M1) increased by 12 percent per year and amounted to 12.300.5 billion manats compared to 10.982.8 billion manats in March 2013.
