The companies producing construction materials in Azerbaijan, produced some 120.2 million manats worth of materials in Jan.-April, 2014, Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee's report said.
So, around 26.3 percent increase was observed in construction materials production compared to the same period of 2013.
The companies produced around 803,300 tonnes of cement (some 42.1 percent increase in a year) and 33.600 tonnes of plaster (about 46 percent decrease) during the reporting period.
The production of ready-mixed concrete grew by 29.8 percent and hit 511,300 tonnes, while the bitumen production saw some 44.4 percent increase and stood at 120,000 tonnes in Jan.-April, according to the committee's report.
The official exchange rate on May 20 is 0.7844 AZN/USD.
