UK's leading toy retailer - The Entertainer - held an opening ceremony of its first store in Azerbaijan on 29th November 2014.
The Entertainer store is located on the third floor of Port Baku Mall, a premium mall recently developed by Pasha Construction LLC. Children stepping into The Entertainer will be transported into a world of wonder, surrounded by all their favourite toys plus friendly staff will be on hand to help guide families around the new store.
The Grand Opening gave children the chance to meet their favourite characters (Hello Kitty, Power Rangers and Star Wars) and enjoy activities including face painting and toy
demonstrations. Parents shared their delight about the opening of the new Entertainer store and noted how well the store was presented and the number of great offers H.M. British Ambassador to Azerbaijan Irfan Siddiq was the honorary guest of the ceremony and opened the event by cutting the ribbon and giving a welcoming speech: "It's great to see British brands entering the Azerbaijani market, it reinforces the
global affinity and closeness between the UK and Azerbaijan". Duncan Grant, founding family member of The Entertainer, gave an insight about the history, background and vision of The Entertainer: "This is a fantastic looking store, I am certainly very proud of it.
Looking at the store you would not know if you were in Azerbaijan or in England". The Entertainer was founded in 1981 by opening the first store in Amersham town of England. The Entertainer has since grown to become the largest chain of toy shops in
the UK with 98 stores and opening at an average of one new store per month.
