The Azerbaijani metallurgy industry and enterprises produced goods and rendered services in the amount of 413.1 million AZN in 2014, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee's report as of 2014 says.
The production volume of the metallurgy industry increased by 11 percent, while the production of finished products rose 6.2 percent.
Cast-iron production in the country amounted to 1.504 metric tons in January-December 2014, which is 21.5 percent less than in the same period of 2013. During the reported period, steel pipes were made in the amount of 33,700 metric tons, which is 44.5 percent less than in January-December 2013.
The reinforcement production volume amounted to 248,700 metric tons in the country during this period, which is 2.9 percent more than in 2013.
In January-November 2014, the volume of export of iron pipes made up 27.601 metric tons (over $27 million), which is 43.8 percent less (in monetary terms - 41.7 percent less) compared to the same period of 2013.
