Over half of capital investments in Azerbaijan accounts for domestic investments

Around 11.83 billion manat was invested from all financial sources in the development of the economic and social areas of Azerbaijan in January-September 2015, which is 0.5 percent more than in the same period of 2014, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee's report as of January-September 2015 says.

The investments in construction and installation work hit 74 percent of a total volume of investments.

Around 7.21 billion manat were invested in the construction of production facilities, while 3.82 billion manat were in non-production facilities, 801.9 million manat - housing construction.
Around 58 percent of the total volume of investments accounted for domestic investments.

Around 8.21 billion manat (69.4 percent of a total volume of investments) of the enterprises' and organizations' funds, 2.2 billion manat (18.7 percent) - budgetary funds, 660.5 million manat (5.6 percent) - bank loans, 210.7 million manat (1.8 percent) - off-budget funds, 385.1 million manat (3.2 percent) - personal funds of the population and 153.3 million manat (1.3 percent) - other funds were invested in the fixed assets.

Around 54.8 percent (6.48 billion manat) invested in fixed assets was directed to develop the non-oil sector. Around 5.35 billion manat (45.2 percent) was invested in the oil industry.
Around 52.8 percent of investments accounted for industry, 12.2 percent - construction, 12.7 percent - transport and warehousing, 3.2 percent - recreation, entertainment, art, 2.7 percent - agriculture, fishery, forestry, 1.6 percent - trade and repair of vehicles, 0.2 percent - financial, insurance activity and services in other services, 0.1 percent - scientific and technical activity, 0.9 percent - health care, 1.8 percent - communication and information, 3.8 percent - accommodation of tourists and catering sphere, 1.4 percent - education, 0.5 percent - real estate transactions and services in other spheres, 0.8 percent - rendering the administrative and additional services, 4.4 percent - state management, the report says.
