To date, 662,000 entrepreneurs have been registered in Azerbaijan, Sahib Mammadov, the country's deputy minister of economy and industry said Oct.27.
He made the remarks during the conference on "The new stage in the development of entrepreneurship: targets and opportunities".
This shows that the country's economic policy for developing the entrepreneurship is sustainable and is pursued based on the successful model, Mammadov added.
The deputy minister said that the development of entrepreneurship is always in the spotlight of Azerbaijan's president.
He added that various decrees covering all stages from starting the business to ending it have been signed in the country for developing the entrepreneurship.
Further, Mammadov touched upon the issue of reducing the number of licenses for business activities.
He recommended the entrepreneurs whose licenses are expiring, to wait until issuing the updated list of licenses in order to avoid additional costs.
Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree Oct.19 which envisages minimizing the number of licenses, ensuring transparency and simplifying the rules of issuing licenses.
The services for issuing licenses will be rendered by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy and Industry through the ASAN Service centers, according to the decree.
