Foreign citizens have spent $2 billion on various services in Azerbaijan in the first half of 2016, according to the balance of payments of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
This is while Azerbaijani citizens have spent $3.7 billion abroad.
In total, the turnover of counter services stood at $5.7 billion of which 16.7 percent ($952 million) accounts for transportation services, according to the balance of payments.
Foreign citizens have spent $542 million on transportation services in Azerbaijan, while the expenditures of Azerbaijani residents abroad stood at $410 million.
