Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers has approved the list of non-oil products that will be covered by the export promotion mechanism.

The list includes natural honey, dried fruits, persimmons, pomegranates, flour and confectionery products (including such sweets as pakhlava and shakarbura), canned vegetables, fruits, nuts and hazelnuts, jams, fruit jellies, marmalades, fruit and nut puree and paste, fruit and vegetable juices, including pomegranate juice, sauces, spices, natural or artificial mineral water, carbonated water, soft drinks, wine and grape must, alcoholic drinks (cognac, brandy, liqueur), Naftalan ointment, clothing, shoes and other products made of genuine leather, silk fabrics, handmade pile and lint-free carpets, cotton clothing and other woven products.

The Cabinet of Ministers also approved the procedure of incentive payment to individuals engaged in the export of non-oil products and coefficients that will be applied on them.

On March 1, 2016, additional measures entered into force in order to promote the export of non-oil goods produced in Azerbaijan. The decree on this, which will be in force until Dec. 31, 2020, was signed by Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev.
